This privacy policy applies to the Pert EMD mobile application (the "Application") for mobile devices, created by Pert Infoconsulting Pvt Ltd (the "Service Provider"). The Application lets you monitor and configure PERT-EMD energy meters that you or your organisation own.
Account information. Your email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and are never visible to us.
Energy and device data. Readings and identifiers from the PERT-EMD meters linked to your account (for example live power, energy totals, and the meter's device ID), so the Application can show your dashboard and statistics.
Meter setup information. During Bluetooth setup you may select a Wi-Fi network and enter its password. This Wi-Fi password is sent directly from your phone to your meter over Bluetooth to connect it to your network; we do not store or transmit your Wi-Fi password to our servers.
Notification token. A push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you the alerts and updates you have enabled.
Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic performance data (Firebase Crashlytics), which may include your device model, operating-system version, app version, and a unique installation identifier, to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.
Location. On Android, the operating system requires location permission in order to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices during meter setup. We use this permission solely to discover your meter over Bluetooth. The Application does not collect, store, or share your location.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, or precise location, and we do not use advertising or third-party ad networks.
To authenticate you and keep you signed in; to display your meters' live and historical energy data; to send account emails (such as password-reset codes) and notifications you have enabled; and to diagnose crashes and improve stability. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
We share information only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the service: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (backend API hosting), Google Firebase (push notifications and crash reporting), and Resend (delivery of transactional emails such as password-reset codes). We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using a strong one-way hash. Access to stored data is restricted through authentication and access controls.
We retain your account and energy data for as long as your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or closure of your account, by contacting us at support@pert.me, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
The Application is intended for property owners, businesses, and installers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. You must be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personal data in some countries.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date below. This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-15.
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
